Coach Chris has always been active in sports and has exercised his entire life. He was highly involved in baseball, football, and wrestling through high school. Chris joined the US Navy shortly after high school where he was introduced to CrossFit during one of his deployments. Not knowing what he was getting himself into and thinking he was as “fit” as can be, he attacked Angie for his first time. After about 30 minutes of dying, he had come to the conclusion that he was actually not as fit as he thought he was. This sparked a fire inside him to earn his CF L1 and, later on, his CF L2. Chris genuinely loves helping people achieve whatever fitness goals they may be fighting for. His favorite movements consist of any Olympic movements, pull-ups, and double unders. When helping people get better, his least favorite thing to hear is the phrase, “I CAN’T”. His belief is that if you have already placed that phrase in your mind, you will never achieve that goal. Everyone has to start somewhere, so don’t go on with a negative mindset.
