Coach Jenn has been around fitness her whole life. She started with golf and AAU basketball at 10 years old and the rest was history! She competed as a college athlete for William and Mary in the Track and Field throws events- discus, shot put, javelin, and hammer throw. She earned a BS in Kinesiology in 2007 with the intent to pursue a career in health and fitness. From there she fell in love with Group Fitness and over the years became certified in multiple Les Mills programs, and eventually became a Les Mills US national Master Trainer and Presenter. Today she continues to train new instructors and upskill current Instructors in Les Mills RPM, SPRINT, and BODYPUMP.
CrossFit was a way for Coach Jenn to expand her group fitness knowledge, get coaching, and take her fitness to the next level. She started CrossFit in 2016, and quickly found that it was all those things, but the community and family atmosphere was what she truly fell in love with. She earned her CrossFit Level 1 certificate in 2020 while living in Tennessee. Jenn’s favorite thing in the gym is the barbell (any heavy lifting!), and her favorite movement is the bar muscle-up. Mostly because of all the hard work and progressions it took to achieve just one! Jenn enjoys family time, hanging out with her dog Bo, and projects around the house. As a Virginia native, Coach Jenn is excited to be back “home” where her CrossFit journey started and help the athletes at 234 reach their goals and achieve more than they believed they could.
